Frequently Asked Questions

What type of workouts should I expect? I provide 4 strength training workouts a week, with short sessions of high intensity intervals. These are the conditions necessary to build lean mass during menopause.

Can I do my workouts at home? Yes! There are gym and at home options.

I do not have a lot of time, should I even bother? You should! I have created an express at home option (30 minute workouts).

I am a beginner, can I still participate? Yes, I have included beginner workouts, as well as intermediate to advanced.

What do I need to participate? If you go to the gym, nothing extra is needed. If you want to workout at home and are a beginnner you will need exercise bands and a mat. If you are doing express home workouts (intermediate level) you will need some dumbbells and a mat.

I love food, I am worried this program will be too restrictive.

Nope! I recommend an anti-inflammatory diet, but the beauty of this way of nourishment is you can eat delicious food and not feel hungry. I provide recipes and guidance to get you set up for success.

Are there any conditions to participate? Just one, you will need to complete a health questionnaire to participate. Other than that, just trust in the process and tap into your drive and passion to kick start a beautiful journey towards a healthier you!

I have combined my advanced education, including a Master of Science in Health Promotion, over 20 years of experience advocating for healthy public policy and changes to our health systems, and my certifications as a menopause coaching specialist, personal trainer and yoga instructor to create Age Freely Fitness and Wellness. My Transformation!

In my mid 40's I was hit hard with symptoms of perimenopause. These included mood swings, anxiety, poor sleep, and I suddenly put on weight and my body shape and size changed dramatically. I had always worked out and eaten well, but suddenly nothing worked! The more I tried (think hours of cardio a day), the worse things became. It wasn't until I started researching the menopause transition and arming myself with evidence-based practices to counteract the hormonal decline to build lean mass that things started to change. Working with my own personal trainer I started working out more strategically, refining my eating habits and tackling stress and cortisol. I am the healthiest, strongest and most confident I have ever been in my life and I want to bring my program to as many women as possible!
