My transformation during the menopause transition

In my mid 40's I was hit hard with symptoms of perimenopause. These included mood swings, anxiety, poor sleep, and I suddenly put on weight and my body shape and size changed dramatically. I had always worked out and eaten well, but suddenly nothing worked! The more I tried (think hours of cardio a day), the worse things became. It wasn't until I started researching the menopause transition and arming myself with evidence-based practices to counteract the hormonal decline to build lean mass that things started to change. Working with my own personal trainer I started working out more strategically, refining my eating habits and tackling stress and cortisol. I am the healthiest, strongest and most confident I have ever been in my life and I want to bring my program to as many women as possible!

About Me

Hi, I'm Nancy

I am a certified Menopause Coaching Specialist, personal trainer, and yoga instructor with a Master's in Health Promotion and an undergraduate degree in Recreation and Health Education. I have been in perimenopause for the last few years and have experienced many of the common symptoms and pitfalls of the menopause transition, including weight gain and loss of lean body composition. Through hours of research, personal experience and education, I have developed the Age Freely Fitness and Wellness program to help active women adopt proven fitness, nutrition and lifestyle habits to help them counteract the decline in estrogen, build strength and lean mass and gain back control of their body.
